Mountain View, MO. – A man from Mountain View was arrested over this past weekend by the Missouri State Highway Patrol after a traffic stop for speeding led to the discovery of a controlled substance.
On the arrest report from the Highway Patrol, Garrett Taber, 31 of Mountain View, was arrested on charges including Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Exceeding Speed Limits by more than 26mph, and No Seatbelt.
When asked about the arrest, the Highway Patrol stated that Taber was stopped on Missouri 17 just north of Buck Hollow in Texas County following a traffic stop where Taber was traveling at 84mph in a 55 zone. A search of the vehicle was performed, and both a white crystal substance in bags and a set of scales stained with crystal residue were found.
Taber was taken to the Mountain View Police Department for processing, but was released pending further legal proceedings.
