Multiple arrested in drug bust on Harlin Drive in West Plains

West Plains, MO. – Two people have been officially charged in a drug bust by West Plains Police on Friday, and a third has pending charges.

On January 5th at 11 a.m., members of the West Plains Police Department enacted a narcotics search warrant on a residence in the 500 block of Harlin Drive. The probable cause statement says the Strategic Response Team knocked five times and announced their presence before breaching the front door. Inside, Austin Hicks, age 35, and Emilee Hicks, age 23, were located and placed into custody.

A search of the residence uncovered a .40 caliber pistol, glass smoking devices, prescription pills belonging to another person, a scale, and multiple containers that field tested positive for methamphetamine.

In information gathered by police, Emilee had been selling meth for 3 to 4 months to make ends meet since she was pregnant.

Austin Hicks is being charged with possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a firearm, and unlawful use of a weapon – subsection 11. He is being held on a $10,000 cash or corporate surety bond.

Emilee Hicks is being charged with delivery of a controlled substance and is being held on a $10,000 cash or corporate surety bond.

The identity of the third person taken into custody has not been released.
