Tuesday April 8,2025 the municipal elections will take place all across the News Team 7 coverage area.
The City of West Plains will be electing a city council person for a four year term, the candidates are Ron Grennan and Jarryd Alsup. There will also be two rural schools holding school board elections. Justin Frazier, Wade Collins and Megan Nickey are running for two two-year terms at Howell Valley School and Jerry Lewis, Brian Morrison and Ryan Kurtzeborn are running for two three-year terms at Richards School.
The City of Willow Springs will be selecting a Mayor, those candidates are Kimberly D. Rich and Adam H. Webb. Bryan Hogan and Luke Bartow are running for Alderman Ward I, Michael R. Tooley is running unopposed for Alderman Ward II. Willow Springs will also elect two members to their school board, the candidates are Roger Shanks, Lori Foster, and Meagan Jones.
Mountain View will be electing East and West Alderman with Brigg Pierson facing Jennifer McAdams in the East Ward and Barbara “Gail” Wallander running unopposed for West Ward. The Mountain View Birch Tree School District will elect two board members for a two year term, running is Mikael Orchard ad Josh Roberts.
The Oregon-Howell will elect two board members, the candidates are Joan Billingsley, Jennifer Johnson, Tony Ogden and Ruth Waggoner.
The Bakersfield R-IV School District will be electing two board members to serve a three-year term, those candidates are Kyle Clayton, Darren Johnson, Austin Lamb, Kevin Goodwin and Joseph Vaughan.
The city of Thayer will hold two contested races, For Mayor Kenny Cotham and Donna Martin are the candidates and for Alderman Ward I Dirk Shultz and Jon Thompson are the candidates.
