Jennifer Vescuso, age 33 from Seymour, MO, was arrested on a warrant on April 1st, 2025, for a multitude of felony charges.
The arrest was a result of a search warrant served by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office at Vescuso’s residence in western Douglas County. Deputies seized methamphetamine and firearms from the residence.
A warrant was issued for Vescuso for Delivery of Controlled Substance (methamphetamine) to a person less than 17 years of age, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful use of a weapon possessed with a felony controlled substance, and 3 counts of Endangering the welfare of a Child.
Bond was set at $25,000 cash only.
The search warrant was prepared by Detective Long. Sheriff Degase would like to commend the proactive approach of Deputies within the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office in vigorously pursuing cases.

Zebulun James Brown, age 35, of Mtn. Grove was arrested by Detective Long on an outstanding Douglas County Warrant for Domestic Assault 2nd Degree and Resisting/Interfering with arrest, NO BOND was set.
The original incident occurred in August of 2023 and was investigated by Detective Long. At the time of Brown’s arrest, he was on Probation and Parole for Possession of a Controlled Substance.

On March 28, 2025, at approximately 2200 hours, Sheriff Degase and Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and Ava Police Department served a search warrant on C Highway due to a string of recent burglaries.
James David Pickens, age 46, of Norwood, was arrested when the search warrant was served. Sheriff Degase advised that several thousand dollars in stolen property was recovered during the search warrant.
A warrant was issued for Pickens for Burglary 1st degree and Stealing more than $25,000. NO BOND was set for this warrant.
Sheriff Degase anticipates additional charges in this case.

On March 28, 2025, Dustin Lee, age 41, of Mt. Grove was arrested by Detective Long for a Douglas County warrant for Burglary 1st degree, stealing more than $25,000, and Unlawful possession of a firearm for his involvement in a string of burglaries in eastern Douglas County where several thousand dollars in property was stolen. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has recovered approximately $20,000 worth of stolen items.
At the time of Lee’s arrest, he was on Probation and Parole for Burglary 1st degree and theft of firearms.
Bond on this case was set at $25,000 cash only
