National Weather Service Predicts Higher than Average Precipitation for Winter 2023

Fall is beginning to wane and has proved to be a dry time in the Ozarks. With much of the state still recovering from last year’s droughts, we spoke to the National Weather Service in Springfield to get a better idea of what to expect.

Rachel Nelson, a meteorologist with the NWS, spoke with us about these conditions and what we’re looking at in our area of southern Missouri, as well as some possible predictions for the coming winter months.
