There was a new twist in this year’s program where members of the community could sponsor an officer with a donation to “Shop with a Cop” and the officer that raised the most money gets to keep their beard for the month of December as well. Corporal Brandon Stephens was the member that collected the greatest number of donations and will be allowed to display his beard until the New Year.

The “Shop with a Cop’ program benefits underprivileged children in our community during the holiday season. This program lets local public safety officers who partner with the West Plains Walmart to adopt students who are in financial need. Participating officers take students shopping for Christmas presents for family members and themselves.

The event is scheduled for this Saturday morning at the West Plains Walmart.
