Winona, MO. – A group of people from Wichita, KS, has experienced a fatality, and other injuries in a crash that occurred near Winona on Friday, December 23rd.
The time of this crash was roughly 10:55am, and the location was Highway 60, two miles East of Winona. A Toyota Corolla was being driven by Krishi Panchal, a 20-year-old male. According to the report from the MSHP, the vehicle travelled off the left side of the roadway, and ejected one passenger who was not wearing their safety device. This led to their fatality in the accident.
The driver and one occupant, Yatrik Patel, a 21-year-old man suffered only minor injuries in the accident. The lone fatality was identified as Shrey Patel, 23. The injured individuals were transported to Poplar Bluff Regional for treatment.
This accident was investigated by Corporal M.J. Chastain of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop G, and was assisted by Shannon County and Carter County First Responder organizations.
