Pottersville, MO. – One teenager was injured and one was killed following a crash where the vehicle overturned.
On August 6, 2024, at 1:42 a.m. a crash occurred on KK Highway, 6 miles west of Pottersville. 19-year-old Dakota Driskell was driving a 2000 Dodge Dakota eastbound when the vehicle ran off the roadway, overturned, and struck a tree. Driskell was pronounced dead at Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains, MO at 4:36 a.m. 18-year-old Travis Grubbs, a passenger in the vehicle, was transported via private vehicle to Ozarks Healthcare to treatment of injuries listed as minor. The Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report states that neither teenager was wearing a safety device during the crash.
This is Troop G’s 15th fatality for 2024 compared to 18 at this time last year. The crash was investigated by Sergeant L.S. Elliot and MCIU Team 3 Corporal K.R. Waters of Troop G.
