The West Plains Optimist Club is celebrating America’s 250th birthday with a special Duck Race Bash today, July 4 at Carmichael Field. The family‑friendly event runs from 1 to 3 p.m., with the duck race starting at 2.
Ducks are five dollars each, and cash prizes of $250, $150 and $100 will be awarded to the top three finishers. Participants do not need to be present to win.
