Out Of State Woman Seriously Injured In Two Vehicle Crash

Rolla, MO. – An out-of-state woman was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the accident occurred on September 11, 2024, at 9:00 a.m., seven miles south of Rolla. Travis Kuhn, 46, of Edgar Springs, Missouri, was driving a 2021 Ram 5500 that was stopped in the roadway, waiting to make a turn, when it was struck from behind by a 2015 Chrysler Town and Country. The driver of the Chrysler, 54-year-old Janine Merdian of Metamora, Illinois, sustained serious injuries from the crash and was airlifted to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment. The report indicated it was unclear whether Merdian was wearing a seat belt.

The crash was investigated by Corporal B.C. Rowden and Corporal J.E. Bellers of Troop I.
