Cabool, Willow Springs, MO. – This year has been a rough one on the blood supply for local hospitals, with overall supply reaching critical levels back in July. For those interested in assisting, the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks will be returning to the listening area with blood drives in Willow Springs and Cabool next week.
The first drive is planned for Cabool on Tuesday, September 17th at the First Baptist Church, 801 Ozark Street from 1pm to 6pm. The Willow Springs blood drive is scheduled for Friday, September 20th at the St. Lutheran Church, 701 Main from 12pm to 5pm.
Both of these drives go along with the current campaign that includes tickets to the Dickerson Park Zoo in Springfield, and a zoo-themed T-shirt.
The Community Blood Center of the Ozarks uses the blood they acquire through drives to be the sole supplier for many hospitals in the area, including TCMH, Ozarks Healthcare, and Mercy Hospital St. Francis.
