Drivers traveling on Route 17 in Texas County should prepare for temporary lane reductions as construction crews work on pavement improvements.
According to the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT), the affected section of Route 17 runs between Route AW near Robey, Missouri, and Route 63 in Houston, Missouri. During construction, one lane will remain open with a 10-foot width restriction in place.
Project Timeline and Safety Measures
Weather permitting, work is set to begin at 6 a.m. on Monday, April 14, with an expected completion date of Saturday, Nov. 1.
The work zone will be clearly marked with signs, and MoDOT urges motorists to use extreme caution while traveling through the area. Drivers should expect possible delays and allow extra time for their commutes.
