Clayton’s educational background includes earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Missouri, and her Master of Science in Nursing from Arkansas State University. She also completed specialized provider training through managed by Healogics® in Jacksonville, Florida, and continues to engage in ongoing education to stay at the forefront of wound care advancements.

“I love watching people heal,” Clayton shared. “You don’t realize how much a wound impacts a person’s life until you see it firsthand. Getting to watch patients improve week over week is incredibly rewarding.”

Clayton joins Dr. David Benalcazar and Dr. William McGee at Ozarks Healthcare Wound Care. The clinic, managed by Healogics,® specializes in treating chronic and non-healing wounds, which often result from conditions such as diabetes, inadequate circulation, and immobility. Ozarks Healthcare Wound Care provides advanced outpatient services, including:

  • Wound consultation and evaluation
  • Diagnostic assessments
  • Specialty wound dressings and bio-engineered skin grafts
  • Compression therapy and negative pressure wound therapy
  • Hyperbaric oxygen therapy
  • Debridement, biopsies, and wound cultures

Clayton emphasized the importance of personalized care for wound healing:

“Seeing patients weekly allows us to monitor them closely and give them the best chance of healing possible. By helping heal their wounds, we help them regain their normal lives.”

Patients experiencing chronic wounds can access care at Ozarks Healthcare Wound Care with or without a referral, though referrals from primary care providers are preferred. If you’ve had a wound that isn’t healing as expected, speak with your primary care provider or contact Ozarks Healthcare Wound Care directly at 417-257-5946 to schedule an assessment.
