West Plains, MO – A Peace Valley man is in serious condition after a two-vehicle crash Saturday night in Oregon County. The accident occurred at 6:10 p.m. October 9, 2021 on Highway 160, 6 miles west of Alton.
Todd Alsup, 23 of Peace Valley, was westbound on his 2001 Yamaha motorcycle when a 2018 Chevy Cruz driven by Glenna Hiles, 82 of Alton, turned left into the path of Alsup, causing a head-on collision.
Hiles suffered minor injuries and sought her own medical treatment. Alsup was seriously injured in the collision and was transported by Air Ambulance to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment. Both drivers had been wearing safety devices.
This accident was investigated by Master Sargent R. Rees with the assistance of Corporal J. D. Wheeler of Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop G.
