West Plains, MO – A West Plains man lost his life in a Saturday night motorcycle crash in Texas County. The accident occurred October 9, 2021 at 6:15 p.m. on Business 60, 3 miles east of Mountain Grove.
The eastbound 2011 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Aaron Stanley, 39 of West Plains, ran off the roadway, striking the ground, overturning, and finally striking a utility pole. Stanley was not wearing a safety device and was thrown from the vehicle. He was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Texas County Coroner at 6:37 p.m.
This accident was investigated by Trooper Z. Tate with the assistance of Master Sargent R. Vaughn, Corporal J. Sellars and Corporal M. Philpott of Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop G.
This is Troop G’s 25th fatality for 2021 as compared with 31 for the same period in 2020.
