Oregon County continued their investigation. While Needles was detained during Shannon County’s investigation, he resisted arrest and assaulted Captain McCoy.
During the assault, Needles caused property damage to an Oregon County Patrol Vehicle, which will likely result in an additional felony charge. It was also determined that Needles made a false report, an action that constitutes a criminal offense.

1. Possession of a Controlled Substance
2. Possession of Drug paraphernalia
3. Unlawful Use of a Weapon
4. Felon in Possession of a Firearm
5. Assault on a Special Victim (LE)
6. Property Damage

8. Child Endangerment
All of the above are felony charges.
All evidence was seized and will be placed into secure evidence storage.

Under the law, the accused is entitled to a presumption of innocence until proven guilty in a court of law.
After the joint investigation concluded, the Oregon County Sheriff’s Office will be seeking multiple felony charges through the Oregon County Prosecutor’s Office for the crimes committed within their jurisdiction during the pursuit.
