The Red Cross’ disaster response following the devastating tornadoes on March 14 is far from over. Over 125 American Red Cross volunteers and staff are actively supporting disaster relief efforts in the Missouri and Arkansas Region following the recent tornadoes.
Red Cross disaster responders from 17 states, including 15 states outside of Missouri and Arkansas, are working tirelessly to help affected communities. Their efforts include distributing emergency supplies, assessing damage, managing shelters, and more.
So far, Red Cross teams have conducted over 1,600 damage assessments of impacted homes across the Missouri and Arkansas Region and provided nearly 1,700 snacks and meals, and more than 2,500 clean up kits and other emergency clean up items.
Shelter Update
The Red Cross opened and operated 5 shelters across Missouri. All shelters have now closed.
Call for Interested Volunteers
We’re urgently seeking volunteers to help staff our Multi-Agency Resource Centers, providing vital support to those in need following last week’s tornadoes. By offering just a little of your time, you can make a world of difference to someone facing hardship. Please, consider stepping in and lending a hand when it matters most.

March 25: Hartville
March 26: West Plains
March 27: Poplar Bluff and Van Buren
March 28: Poplar Bluff and Doniphan
March 29: Piedmont and Perryville
March 30: Piedmont
