Road Closures from snow and falling trees

West Plains, MO. – The large snowfall from last night’s storm has knocked down trees, powerlines, and more that is causing traffic problems across southcentral Missouri and northern Arkansas. The following are a few of the snow covered roads and road closures in the area:

Highway 63 from Thayer through West Plains and Willow Springs to Cabool is covered

Douglas County

  • Highway 14 from Ava to Dogwood is covered
  • Highway 5 from Wasola through Ava to Marshfield is covered

Howell County

  • Highway 160 from West Plains to Caulfield is covered
  • State Route 17 from West Plains to Lanton is covered

Ozark County

  • Highway 160 from Caulfield to Theodosia is partially covered
  • Highway 5 from 160 to CR 602 is closed southbound for a vehicle accident

Oregon County

  • Highway 19 going from Alton to Winona
  • Highway 142 between Thayer and Couch
  • State Route E between Alton and Couch

Shannon County

  • Highway 19 is partially covered north of Eminence
  • Highway 60 between Mountain View, through Birch Tree, Winona, and Van Buren, to the eastern side of Poplar Bluff is partially covered

Texas County

  • Highway 137 from Willow Springs to Yukon is closed for a culvert replacement
  • Highway 60-63 to Cabool is covered 

Wright County

  • Main roads are mostly clear in Wright County
