SCOCOG Receives Grant, Organizing Karst Class in April

Pomona, MO. – SCOCOG, or the South Central Ozark Council of Governments, has received a $100,000 grant from the EPA, with even more from the South Solid Waste Management District for a total of $133,000. This money is being put towards a set of classes this Spring on educating area students on Karst and watersheds, strong features of the Ozarks.

Tegan Vaughn spoke to us on this project and seemed excited to reveal this to the public. She stated that these projects will use hands-on methods to teach children about water quality, and the effects of Karst and watersheds on the local water.
