Second Criminal Involved in Baxter County Manhunt Found & Arrested

Mountain Home, AR. – The second individual who was a suspect in last week’s criminal manhunt on May 10th has been taken into custody after he was found in the Clarkridge area.

This comes about as investigators with the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office investigated to determine the identity of the man, who has been identified as Charles R. Cox, a 56-year-old resident of Clarkridge.

Cox was taken to the Baxter County Detention Center yesterday morning, and was issued bond set at $100,000. He was also charged with multiple felonies and misdemeanors including:

Felony – Residential Burglary

Felony – Aggravated Assault

Felony – Possession of Firearms by a Certain Persons

Felony – Possession of a Controlled Substance

Felony – Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Misdemeanor – Criminal Trespassing

Misdemeanor – Theft of Property

Misdemeanor – Violating a No Contact Order

Misdemeanor – Probation Violation

Penalty Enhancement – Habitual Offender

 

Cox has a court date for these charges in the Baxter County Circuit Court set for June 12th.
