Seymour, MO. – The woman who was involved in a vehicular accident involving an Amish buggy in early June is being charged with involuntary manslaughter.
This previously reported on crash near Seymour occurred on Tuesday, June the 6th at around 5:05pm.
Julia Young, a 38-year-old Seymour resident, was driving Northbound on C Highway when she attempted to pass an Amish buggy on the roadway and collided with the back of the vehicle.
All occupants were dumped out in the crash. Two adults were injured and an infant male lost their life in the accident. Young is facing charges of 2nd Degree Involuntary Manslaughter, Owning and Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Maintaining Financial Responsibility, and Operating a Motor Vehicle in a Careless and Imprudent Manner.
The original investigator of the incident was Trooper N. Vines of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop D.
Criminal charges, and any discussion thereof, are merely allegations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
