Shannon County First Responders Receive Car Extrication Training

Shannon County, MO. – Last month, the Shannon County First Responders, along with students from an EMT class, received training from the Birch Tree Volunteer Fire Department on the usage of the famous “Jaws of Life” tool, as well as other useful automobile extrication techniques.

This training was made possible with the donation of a pair of vehicles from Baker’s Auto Salvage in Winona. Students and emergency responders then went to work taking turns using tools, discussing techniques, and posing as trapped victims for the class.
