Deputies in Carter County say a shooting in the Ellsinore area Friday evening led to a large‑scale search that has now ended with the suspect in custody. Around 7:20 p.m., officers responded to a home on County Road 330, also known as Charcoal Kiln Road, where they found three victims suffering from injuries.
The suspect, identified as 28‑year‑old Peter Taylor, fled on foot into a nearby wooded area, prompting an extensive search involving the Carter County Sheriff’s Office, National Park Service personnel and Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers.
