Six arrested after narcotics search warrant served in eastern Douglas County

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Mo. — Six Ava residents were arrested June 24 after the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office served a narcotics search warrant in eastern Douglas County.

According to the sheriff’s office, the search resulted in the seizure of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and firearms.

Those arrested at the time the warrant was served were Michael Isaac, 56, James Vanscoyoc, 48, Cecil Crossland, 56, Eugene Lambert, 60, Retha Rowland, 49, and Michelle Lambert, 51, all of Ava.

Warrants were issued for each of the six individuals following the search.

Rowland was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and three counts of unlawful use of a weapon for allegedly being in possession of methamphetamine and firearms. Her bond was set at $2,500 cash only.

Michelle Lambert was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and three counts of unlawful use of a weapon for allegedly being in possession of methamphetamine and firearms. Her bond was set at $2,500 cash only.

Michael Isaac was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, three counts of unlawful use of a weapon for allegedly being in possession of methamphetamine and firearms, and three counts of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. His bond was set at $25,000 cash only.

Eugene Lambert, Vanscoyoc and Crossland were each charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, three counts of unlawful use of a weapon for allegedly being in possession of methamphetamine and firearms, and three counts of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. Bond for each was set at $50,000 cash only.

Sheriff Chris Degase thanked Lt. Stroud and Sgt. Hoekema of the Ava Police Department, the Springfield Police Department and the COMET Drug Task Force for their assistance with the case.

All charges are allegations, and defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
