Excitement is building in the Ozarks as the beloved community event, Skyfire, returns to the heart of the Ozark Fairgrounds this Friday. After a 12-year hiatus, the event is set to make a massive comeback, with gates opening at 5:00 PM for what promises to be a memorable experience for local families.
Community Partnership One of the major sponsors making the event’s return possible is the McDonald’s of West Plains. During a recent visit to Ozark Radio News, Andi from McDonald’s shared her personal connection to the event, noting fond childhood memories of watching the fireworks displays. Beyond supporting community staples like Skyfire, McDonald’s continues its local involvement through initiatives like the “McReaders” program, which encourages literacy by rewarding children who read 10 books at their local library.
Fueling Up for the Festivities As families plan for Friday’s event, McDonald’s highlighted several menu items perfect for a picnic or on-the-go meal, including:
New Beverages: A variety of crafted refreshers (strawberry watermelon, mango pineapple, and dragon fruit) and crafted sodas (including “dirty” Dr. Pepper and Spriteberry Blast).
Classic Treats: To celebrate America’s 250th, the fried apple pie has made a return, alongside their popular baker’s dozen chocolate chip cookies.
Game Day Deals: A 20-piece nugget deal is currently available for just $6.
Plan Your Visit Attendees are encouraged to utilize the McDonald’s mobile app to place orders in advance, making it easy to pick up meals before heading to the fairgrounds.
Admission for Skyfire is $5 per car. For more information, tune in to Ozark Radio News and News Team 7.
