Baseball fans in the Ozarks have a special opportunity to make a big impact this spring. The Community Blood Center of the Ozarks is teaming up with the Springfield Cardinals for the annual Bleed Red blood drive promotion. Local donors who give blood during May or June will receive a voucher for two free admissions to a Springfield Cardinals game and a three-quarter sleeve Cardinals T-shirt, while supplies last.
The CBCO is the sole provider of blood, platelets, and plasma to 45 healthcare facilities across the region, including Mercy St. Francis Hospital and Ozarks Healthcare. Donors help ensure a steady blood supply for patients throughout southwest Missouri.
Mountain View residents can participate in the Bleed Red promotion at the Mountain View Community Blood Drive on Friday, May 2, from 12:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the Community Center (125 W. 1st Street).
To reduce wait times, appointments are encouraged. Donors can schedule online at cbco.org/baseball or call 417-227-5006.
