From Texas County Sheriff’s Department:
On July 24, 2026, a Texas County Deputy on patrol in the Summersville area observed a Honda Civic traveling on Stoops Road that did not have license plates displayed. The deputy initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle. Upon contacting the driver, Lenny Hebert Junior, it was determined that Hebert did not have a drivers license or insurance for the vehicle. While speaking with Hebert, he advised the deputy he had a firearm in the vehicle and was currently on parole. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of the firearm, drug paraphernalia, and a substance that tested positive for Methamphetamine. Hebert was arrested and transported to the Texas County Jail.
Texas County Prosecuting Attorney Parke Stevens charged Lenny J. Hebert Junior, age 38, of Summersville with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (Felon), Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Use of a Weapon (Possession of firearm and controlled substance), Driving While Revoked/Suspended, Operate Motor Vehicle without financial responsibility. Hebert was incarcerated in the Texas County Jail pending a $6,000 cash only bond per Judge Ellsworth.
