JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – State Representative Bennie Cook welcomed members of the Texas County Livestock 4-H to the State Capitol this week as part of 4-H Day at the Capitol. The event provided young agricultural leaders with a valuable opportunity to connect with lawmakers, learn about the legislative process, and advocate for the future of agriculture in Missouri.
“I want to express my gratitude to the 4-H leaders and parents for bringing the Texas County Livestock 4-H members to the Missouri State Capitol,” said Cook, R-Houston. “This visit allowed 4-H leaders and lawmakers to engage with one another and underscored the vital role of youth involvement in agriculture.”
During their visit, the Texas County delegation toured the Capitol, gaining firsthand insight into the workings of state government.
Rep. Cook emphasized the importance of these experiences in fostering civic engagement and leadership among the next generation.
