Texas County Traffic Stop Leads to Meth Arrest

Licking, MO. – On May 26, 2022 a traffic stop by the Texas County Sheriff’s Department has led to the arrest of a pair of individuals on meth-related charges.

At approximately 1:17 AM, a Texas County deputy on patrol traveling on Harry Road in the Licking area initiated a traffic stop on a Chevrolet truck for a registration violation.  During the stop, the deputy obtained consent to search the vehicle.

Inside the vehicle were the driver, Rosella Egan, 49 of Edgar Springs, and an occupant, Earl Wieprecht III, 43 of St Robert. As Egan exited the vehicle, a container with meth inside was dropped. A further search of the vehicle revealed 3 additional bags of meth, each containing roughly 4 grams, and additional drug paraphernalia.

Texas County Prosecuting Attorney Parke Stevens charged Egan and Wieprecht with Delivery of Controlled Substance.  Egan was held in jail pending $150,000 bond.  Wieprecht was held in jail pending a $250,000 bond.
