The Harlin Museum Announces a Tipsy Easel Event

The Harlin Museum is delighted to introduce its first-ever Tipsy Easel event on July 18, kicking off what we hope will become a favorite new museum tradition.

Local artist Angela Bullard will launch the series with “Mimosas and Canvas,” a creative brunch experience designed for both beginners and seasoned artists alike. Guests will enjoy a charcuterie-style brunch at 10:30 a.m. before settling in for a hands-on workshop where Angela will guide participants through the colorful and captivating art of alcohol inks. By the end of the class, each attendee will leave with a unique landscape painting of their own creation.

Alcohol inks are vibrant, flowing, and wonderfully unpredictable, making every piece a one-of-a-kind work of art. Participants are encouraged to wear clothing they don’t mind getting a little messy, as the inks can stain if spilled.

“Mimosas and Canvas” is just the beginning. The Harlin Museum plans to make Tipsy Easel a regular part of its classroom and workshop offerings, featuring a variety of artists, techniques, and creative experiences throughout the year. Whether you’re looking for a fun outing with friends, a chance to try something new, or simply an excuse to relax and create, future Tipsy Easel events will offer something for everyone.

The cost for the July 18 workshop is $50 per person and includes brunch, instruction, and all materials. Space is limited. To reserve your spot or learn more, contact the Harlin Museum at 417-256-7801 or info@HarlinMuseum.com.
