The Southern Ozarks Community Orchestra Playing Summer Concert

Willow Springs, MO. – The SOCO recently announced its plans to have another concert to celebrate the arrival of summer. The concert will be held on Saturday, June 15, at the historic Star Theater in Willow Springs and will start a 7 p.m. Tickets will be available at the door and admission is $10 for adults, and children under 12 will get in for free.

The upcoming concert is titled “Garden Party” and will entertain with the best-themed music to celebrate the occasion. The concert will feature “Poem For Orchestra” by Tatgenhorst, “Summer Dances” by Balmages, “Summertime” by Gershwin, “Loch Lomond” by Ticheli, Sea Shanties, “Berceuse and Finale” by Stravinsky, “The Prayer, You Raise Me Up, and To Where You Are” by Josh Gorman, “St.Louis Blues” by Handy, “Dance of the Hours” by Ponchielli, and “Celebration”.

The SOCO is directed by Jodie Forbes and is sponsored by the Willow Springs Arts Council. This is the 15th year that members from around the area have played in the Orchestra.
