This Week’s Featured Pet of The Day Wrap-Ups and Videos! Check Them Out!

Pet Lovers! – Hello, again, and thank you for taking a look at this week’s Featured Pet of the Day wrap-up and videos. This program was started to make people aware of the animals that are currently crowding up shelters and rescues. This has been a major problem for the past year. So far animals from Ozarks Pet Rescue, The City of Mountain Grove Animal Control, and the City of West Plains Animal Care and Control have been featured. Some of those animals have been adopted and now have forever homes. As shown in an article, Mountain Grove Animal Control is struggling with the intake of new dogs and may be forced to start euthanizing their dogs if adoption does not pick up. So if you have been following please share the dogs and cats featured so we can help them out. Below are the featured pets and videos of them. Thank you for staying with this program!

On Monday, we featured another one of the four puppies being held at the West Plains Animal Care and Control. This little girl is a boxer mix estimated to be around 8 weeks old. She is just as sweet as she looks. I knelt in front of her to get pictures and all she did was wag her tail and try to lick my camera. then she was all over my feet looking for pets and love. This little girl has not been leashed trained yet but would love to be a lap dog in her first and forever home. She is smart and a fun puppy to be around. If you are interested in adopting this puppy and giving her a good first home contact the West Plains Animal Care and Control at 417-255-1860.

On Tuesday, we featured this beautiful baby girl. She is a 50-pound lab mix and is currently being held at the West Plains Animal Care and Control. She has been held here since the beginning of May and is looking for a good and fun home. This girl, as you can tell from the pictures, is full of energy. She loves to play and is trained to walk nicely on the leash. She gets along well with other dogs and loves human attention. She is very clingy and listens for instructions before she goes about her playtime. She is a very happy and well-trained puppy and is hoping for you to give her a forever home. Guys, this is another girl without a name. What would you name her? If you are interested in adoption, contact the West Plains Animal Care and Control at 417-255-1860.

On Wednesday, we featured yet another one of the four babies that are looking for a home and currently waiting at the West Plains Animal Care and Control. This little guy is an 8-week-old boxer mix. What you you guys name this little boy? He is a little more shy than his brother and sisters. He warms up quickly but it takes him a couple of smells and slow steps but he gets there. He is very curious but it takes him a while to cure his curiosity. I spent some time with him and it took him like five minutes around me before he was playing and bouncing around the lobby. It made it difficult to get a picture but he has the most beautiful personality. The little boy has not yet been leash-trained but is probably just as willing to learn as any other puppy. If you are interested in blessing this handsome boy with his first forever home contact the West Plains Animal Care and Control at 417-255-1860.

On Thursday, we featured a handsome little guy. (What would you guys name him? he is currently without one!) He is being held at the West Plains Animal Care and Control and has been there since the middle of August. The little guy is an 8-week-old boxer mix. He is a fun bundle of energy and loves people and other dogs. I do not know about cats. He has not yet been leashed trained but I’m sure will be willing to learn from his new owner. During time spent with him, I found that he is by far the most outgoing of his siblings. He loves to play and run circles around visiting humans. He likes to show off his cuteness. This little guy would love it if someone would come pick him up and give him a forever home. If you are interested in adopting the little boy contact the West Plains Animal Care and Control at 417-255-1860.

On Friday, we featured this very happy, very smiley girl. She is a 38-pound red heeler mix who has been held at the West Plains Animal Care and Control since the beginning of May. One thing I can say about this dog is she has a lllooootttt of energy. She walks really well on a leash but once you let her off to play she makes sure to have the time of her life. She gets along well with other dogs and absolutely loves it when humans come to visit her. She gets so excited when people give her pets and attention. What would you name this girl? If you are interested in giving this girl a good forever home, contact the West Plains Animal Care and Control at 417-255-1860.
