Salem, MO. – Two individuals were seriously injured in a one-vehicle crash after the car went down an embankment.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the crash occurred on June 2, 2024, at 12:25 p.m. on Highway H. 26-year-old Katelynn Mathes was traveling eastbound, 4 miles west of Salem, when she traveled off the left side of the roadway, went down an embankment, and then struck a creek bed. Both Mathes and 41-year-old Wesley Parsons, a passenger in the vehicle, were seriously injured in the crash. Mathes and Parsons were flown to St.Louis for treatment. According to the report, neither were wearing safety devices at the time of the crash.
