As of this morning, these two fires have been contained and are now being monitored by firefighters on the ground. Some smoke from the interior of the fires’ footprint may be visible today, but conditions are favorable to maintain containment and reinforce the lines around the fires.

As weather has shifted, some firefighters will be shifting from wildfire response to prescribed burning.  The Forest only has one prescribed burn planned for today, and it will be about five miles east of where the Barn Log fire occurred. More information will be posted to the Forest’s FB page.
