Dinner will begin at 5 p.m., featuring chili, hot dogs, desserts and drinks. The meal will be served by donation.

Live music will be provided during dinner by Whetstone, followed by an auction beginning at 6 p.m.

Organizers are seeking donations for the auction, particularly baked goods.

A portion of the proceeds will help the department purchase equipment for its fire truck, with a projected cost of $25,000.

For more information or to donate items for the auction, contact Nikki Hammett at 417-259-0953 or Charlotte Tuggle at 417-683-1801.

The department also encourages residents to follow its Facebook page for updates about the fundraiser and available auction items.

Together, the scheduled events offer area residents a variety of ways to celebrate the fall season, support local organizations and participate in community traditions as Halloween gives way to November festivities.
