Birch Tree, MO. – A defect on a motorcycle caused a crash on May 12th near Birch Tree, says a recent report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
A 58-year-old Stover man was the operator of the motorcycle when the unnamed defect caused them to lose control on US 60 around four miles west of Birch Tree.

The motorcycle came to a stop when it struck an embankment, and the Stover man was inflicted with moderate injuries as a result. They were then taken to Cox South in Springfield for further recovery and treatment.
