(West Plains, MO)The 6th Annual Amelia Market returns to downtown West Plains tomorrow, Saturday, September 12, bringing together dozens of women-owned businesses from across the Ozarks.
Previously known as the Business Women’s Expo, the Amelia Market will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Ozarks Small Business Incubator (OzSBI). The event is open to the public, and admission is free.
This year’s Amelia Market will feature 40 local, women-owned businesses spread across both floors of OzSBI, offering shoppers a wide variety of products and services.
Returning vendor Elohi Spirit Ghourds will be joined by several first-time vendors, including The Bookshop, a new downtown West Plains business; The Coffee Deck from Willow Springs; Whimsy Lane boutique; and KB’s Lemonade.
Visitors will be able to shop for items from local authors, handcrafted jewelry, beauty products, boutiques, food vendors and more.
The day will also include live entertainment from The AcousChicks at noon, along with giveaways and opportunities to meet and connect with local business owners.
“There’s something special about seeing so many women-owned businesses under one roof,” said Heather W. Fisher with The Amelia Network. “The Amelia Market gives our community a chance to discover local businesses they may not have known about, while giving women entrepreneurs an opportunity to make new connections and share what they’ve worked so hard to build.”
Organizers say the event is designed not only as a shopping opportunity, but also as a way for the community to support local entrepreneurs and discover businesses from throughout the region.
