Walk the Streets of Bakersfield September 12

Bakersfield will welcome residents and visitors downtown on September 12 for Bakersfest 2026, a community celebration featuring crafts, food, music, and the long‑running “Walk the Streets of Bakersfield” 28th Annual Car Show. Officials say tornado repairs were completed sooner than expected, allowing the event to return to its traditional downtown location.

The car show will run with registration from 9 to 11 a.m., followed by awards at 1 p.m. The entry fee is $20 to show a vehicle and $10 to display. Dash plaques will be given to the first 50 entries, and judging will follow a 100‑point system across multiple year‑based classes for cars, trucks, and motorcycles.
