Willow Springs, MO – A two-vehicle accident on Wednesday Morning has sent two Willow Springs elders to the hospital. The accident occurred around 8:35 a.m. on County Road 4990, two miles south of Willow Springs, when a 2014 Jeep Cherokee driven by Carla Nelson, age 69, struck a 2013 Chevrolet Equinox driven by James McReynolds, age 79. The Jeep suffered extensive damage and the Chevy was totaled.
Nelson was wearing her safety device and was taken by ambulance to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains for minor injuries. McReynolds was not wearing his safety device and was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Mountain View, MO for minor injuries.
This accident was investigated by Cpl. J. Cunningham with the assistance of Tpr. M. Barron of Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop G.
