A West Plains woman suffered minor injuries Tuesday afternoon in a two‑vehicle crash on Highway JJ, five miles south of West Plains.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened at 2 p.m. when an 88‑year‑old man from Viola, Arkansas, driving a northbound 2008 Chevrolet Silverado, struck the rear of a 2017 Jeep Cherokee. Troopers say the Jeep’s driver, a 55‑year‑old woman from West Plains, was stopped putting mail in a mailbox when her vehicle was hit.

The driver of the Jeep was transported by South Howell Ambulance to Ozarks Healthcare with minor injuries, the Silverado driver was not injured according to the report.
