Later on March 20th, the man’s daughter contacted police stating it was Wake who burglarized the home and the stolen items were present at Wake’s residence. The investigator with the Howell County Sheriff’s Office went to the residence and saw a motorcycle matching the description given by the victim.

A search warrant was obtained and executed on March 21st at Wake’s residence. There, items stolen on March 19th were found in the residence, as well as a firearm and multiple collections that had been reported stolen in a separate theft. The maroon truck with the lightbar was found abandoned in a neighbor’s yard a short distance from Wake’s residence.

In a post-arrest interview, Wake openly confessed to entering both residences and stealing numerous items. The accused reportedly told authorities that he was using methamphetamine and this was a contributing factor to his crimes. A small amount of meth had been recovered at Wake’s residence.

According to online court documents, Wake is being held in jail on a $25,000 cash or corporate surety bond. Wake is currently on probation for a misdemeanor stealing charge that he pled guilty to on October 24, 2022. He has an additional misdemeanor stealing charge from October 10th.
