West Plains, MO. – A local man has pled not guilty to charges of rape before the Howell County Court on February 28, 2023. Levi G. Rand was arrested on February 26 following traffic court in Versailles, MO. for a felony warrant out of Howell County that was issued on December 14, 2022 for two counts of 1st degree rape or attempted rape and two counts of 1st degree sodomy or attempted sodomy.
The Howell County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation on Rand in March 2022 after an unidentified person accused Rand.

A grand jury has indicted the accused on the charges. Rand remains in custody on $250,000 bond. His next court date is on Monday, March 20, 2023 for a counsel status hearing.
