West Plains, MO. – On April 20, 2024, The South Central Solid Waste Management District is partnering with the City of West Plains to hold a one-day free e-waste recycling collection day for residents of Douglas, Howell, Oregon, Ozark, Shannon, Texas, and Wright counties. This event will happen from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Materials Recycling Facility in West Plains, Mo.
People are allowed to bring all electronics that don’t work or they are done with including, computers, monitors, cables and wires, televisions, VCR and DVD players, most appliances, stereo equipment, office equipment, and cell phones. Everything is accepted except for refrigerators. The project is run on a first-come, first-serve basis. The day will end when the transport truck is full.
