District Safety Update 4.18.2024

At the end of the school day today, the district learned that a middle school student allegedly made a verbal threat. After an investigation, there were no weapons found. Administrators and local law enforcement will determine what disciplinary action is necessary.

The safety of our students and staff is always our priority.  We take threats to the well-being of our schools, staff, and students seriously.

Because of student privacy laws, we cannot publicly discuss specific disciplinary matters. However, in cases such as these, we reference school board policies, which can be found at www.zizzers.org.

If you have questions or concerns, please call central office administration at 256-6155.

Thank you,

Dr. Wesley Davis
Superintendent of Schools
West Plains R-VII School District
