West Plains, Mo. – The West Plains Optimist Club Mighty Mite Football & Cheerleading sign-up will be held on Thursday, July 28 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the People’s Park Pavilion in West Plains. This event will be for grades 3 thru 6 who are participating in football and everyone participating in cheerleading. The sign up for grades 1 & 2 will be on Thursday, August 25.

The cost will be $40 per child enrolling in either football or cheerleading. This includes a jersey, helmet, and shoulder pad rentals, as well as a mouth guard, and a trophy at the end of the season for those in football. For cheerleading, this includes pom-poms, cheer outfit, and trophy at the end of the season.
While the equipment provided should be sufficient, parents may want to purchase football pants and cleats for their children as well.
