Funeral services for Marshall Scott, 89, Pomona, Missouri, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 29, 2022, at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains, Missouri, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
He was born the son of the late Marshall W. Scott, Sr. and Madaline Sultzaberger Scott, on June 28, 1933 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and died July 25, 2022 in Pomona, Missouri.
He was united in marriage in Elizabeth, New Jersey on August 9, 1957 in Elizabeth to Gail Dousa who preceded him in death.
He is survived by one son, Kyle Scott and wife Donna, Pomona, Missouri; two grandchildren, Kirk Scott, Lehighton, Pennsylvania and Jennifer Scott, Lehighton, Pennsylvania; three great grandchildren, Nathan Scott, Jade Eichler, and Jewel Eichler, all of Lehighton, Pennsylvania.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, and one son, Kirk Scott.
He was proud to have served as a police officer in Elizabeth, New Jersey. He also attended the FBI Crime Prevention School. He served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean conflict. He also coached mighty mite football and was a member of the Elks Club for over fifty to sixty years. He was a member for over 40 years at the United Methodist Church in West Plains, Missouri. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Munch Food Pantry in Willow Springs, Missouri and can be left at the funeral home.
Visitation will be on Friday, July 29, 2022 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains.
Burial will be in Mackey Cemetery, Howell County, Missouri, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
