UPDATE: Delay’s and detours on westbound US 60 HWY after accident.

Missouri State Highway Patrol has released a crash report.

A westbound 2007 Peterbilt driven by Brady Spain, 23 of Miller, Mo., failed to negotiate a curve and overturned on US 60, 1/4 mile west of Highway AV. Spain was not wearing a safety device and suffered minor injuries in the crash. He sought his own medical treatment. The Peterbilt had extensive damage.

This crash was investigated by Master Sargent D. Pounds with the assistance of Cpl. Philpott, Trooper Crewse, Trooper Etherton, the Cabool Police Department, the Cabool Fire Department and the Missouri Department of Transportation.

Update 1:44PM

As of 1:44 crews were still on scene cleaning up the accident. Details of the accident have yet to be released. 

Traffic is currently down to one lane in the westbound lane, but will be closed again when they remove the semi truck.

 

A Wednesday morning accident southeast of Cabool has closed a portion of westbound US HWY 60 in Howell County. Drivers  will need to detour at Route 181 in Cabool to Route AM West of Willow Springs.  

The Missouri Department Of Transportations Traveler Information Map reported the following update.

“Road closed due to VEHICLE CRASH
US-60 Westbound (HOWELL County)
Impact reported at 09:52 AM on 11/03/2021. Closure estimated to last 10 hour(s).
NOTE: All westbound lanes closed due to truck accident. Detour traffic off at Route 181 in Cabool to Route AM west of Willow Springs.”
