Alan Dale McThompson

Visitation services for Alan Dale McThompson, 72, West Plains, Missouri, will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday, March 17, 2023, in the Main Room at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mr. McThompson passed away at 4:10 a.m., Monday, March 13, 2023, at NHC Healthcare.

He was born September 8, 1950, at West Plains, to Harry Franklin McThompson and Betty Lou Carter McThompson.  On July 3, 1995, he was married at Mountain Home, Arkansas, to Louise Campbell.  Alan graduated from West Plains High School with the Class of 1968 and went on to achieve an Associate’s degree.  Mr. McThompson was a veteran, having served with the United States Army.  He enjoyed woodworking and watching MIZZOU basketball.  Alan loved his family and was especially proud of his granddaughters.

He is survived by his wife, Louise McThompson; one daughter, Krystal Brown and husband, Scott; two granddaughters, Rylee and Reese Brown; and one brother, David McThompson.

His parents preceded him in death.

A private burial will be in Howell Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and may be left at or mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 West Main, West Plains, MO  65775.
