Betty J. Whitlow, 73, of Ellsinore, MO, departed this life Tuesday, September 17, 2024. She was born June 30, 1951, in Ripley County, MO, to the late Cloyce and Della (Noe) Whitlow.
Betty dedicated much of her life to her family. She worked as a med tech but found her greatest joy in her role as a homemaker. Her home was a haven of warmth and love, a reflection of her nurturing spirit. Betty’s greatest delight came from spending time with her grandchildren, whom she adored and pampered. Her creative talents shone through in her sewing, crafting beautiful quilts that was cherished by those who had them. Betty also had a keen interest in investigative television shows, enjoying the challenge of piecing together clues and solving mysteries before the final reveal.
Surviving are her seven children, James Brandon of Qulin, William Shane Brandon of Ellsinore, MO, Michael David wife Christina Brandon of Peculiar, MO, Elisha Brown of Doniphan, Melissa Tyler of Ellsinore, Lashawna Silman of Poplar bluff, MO, and Amber McDonnald of Ellsinore. Also surviving are 32 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by a child, Shannon Brandon, and all her siblings, Virginia Cannon, Elvira Whitlow, Ted Whitlow, and Billy Whitlow.
Visitation will be held in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, September 20, 2024, beginning at noon with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
