Bonnie Lou Smith was born January 27, 1945, in Birch Tree, MO to Luther and Opal Cowin. She passed away on Monday, July 15, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, and was 79 years old.
In 1961, she was married to Johnny Rackley and together they had 3 children, Brad, Brenda, and Donna. She Spent most of her life in the Willow Springs community, where she worked at the Brown Shoe Factory for several years. Bonnie was very active in her church where she loved seasonal decorating, playing tambourine, and picking people up that needed a ride to church. She was always thinking of others and was quick to send get well and birthday cards to her friends and family. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Rackley; her parents, Luther and Opal; her son, Brad; her brothers, Leo, Jim, Ivan, and Paul; and her sister, Lorene Dunn.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Weaver; her daughter, Donna Harrill and husband, Steve of Ozark; her grandchildren, Shayla Weaver and John Weaver of Mountain View, Brantly Harrill of Ozark; and her great grandson, Leslie Wake of Mountain View.
A visitation for Bonnie will be held Friday, July 19, 2024, from 10 AM to 11 AM at Willow Funeral Home, LLC. Her funeral service will follow at 11 AM with Pastor C.L. Stage officiating.
